How we work this out

What it does

Type the points an offer asks for: see the grades that make it.

A points offer from 1 to 400, turned into grades with UCAS's 2027-cycle Tariff tables.

Method

  1. A levels: we try every set of three grades and keep the most even set that makes your number exactly. When no three grades make it (A-level points go up in 8s), we give the lowest set above it.
  2. Two A levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma, a T Level and an Access to HE Diploma: the lowest grade that reaches your number. Where Access to HE profiles tie on points, we show the one with the fewest distinction credits.
  3. Every points value is copied by script from UCAS's own tables.
